Fans have been reacting on social media after seeing what Flamengo posted on the back of their win over Chelsea.

On Friday, Brazilian side Flamengo continued their perfect start to the FIFA Club World Cup by beating Premier League giants Chelsea at the Lincoln Financial Field in Pennsylvania.

Chelsea went ahead through Pedro Neto, but second-half goals from Bruno Henrique, Danilo and Wallace Yan sealed a 3-1 win for Flamengo.

The Blues also had striker Nicolas Jackson sent off in the 68th minute.

During the match, Flamengo tweeted an edited Chelsea badge, replacing the lion crest with a character from the animated film A Bug's Life. They deleted the post after a few minutes, but it was too late, as many fans managed to screenshot the tweet.

The reference led fans to believe Flamengo were calling Chelsea a small club.

In addition, the Brazilian side also wrote: "Easy win against London Blue!" followed by a bug emoji immediately after the final whistle.

The Chelsea badge on the graphic was replaced with the crest used on the football video game, PES.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: "Oi they're calling them by their PES identity."

Another tweeted: "London blue the hell the disrespect."

A third fan added: "Cook them."

Someone else wrote: "Epic trolling! Well played tonight."

Speaking after the match, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said: "In the last two days, we tried something completely different. We played in a different structure today to prepare for next season and have more options.

"The plan was quite good for an hour, but then we conceded the goal, and the second one, and then we had the red card. In the end, with us down to ten men, they deserved to win the game."

Chelsea will be back in action on Tuesday when they take on ES Tunis in the final group stage match.
