Silva spent four years with the club, making 151 appearances and winning the Champions League, before departing in 2024 - and his two sons, Isago and Iago, are part of the Chelsea Academy.
He told the BBC: "I'm not a spy. I don't know [Enzo] Maresca that well, but I do know a lot of players there. I talk to them practically every week.
"I'm trying to help in the best way possible in terms of information, but we know that in practice it's completely different from everything we studied."

Former Chelsea teammate Marc Cucurella, said: "He's a legend of football, a top player. He's only played for big clubs and texted me before this game saying 'let's go, hopefully we can see you in a couple of days'.
"We have the opportunity to play against him and hopefully we can do good things and win this game and play in the final which is what we want to do."
Fluminense manager Renato Gaucho has said the club is the 'ugly duckling' in terms of finances but 'that doesn't mean we can't win the Club World Cup.'

Silva told the Daily Mail: 'At what you could call the final stage of my career, I'm still living important moments and trying to help in the best way I can,"
"It would be special to eliminate Chelsea, even with all the love I have for them, but when you're on the pitch, you have to focus on your own team."
Make sure you're watching tonight to see if he gets his wish.
