Scotland fans have received confirmation from FIFA that one of their long-standing traditions will not breach the World Cup stadium code of conduct states this summer.
Scotland qualified for the showpiece for the first time since 1998 after a memorable 4-2 win over Denmark and have been drawn in Group C alongside Haiti, Brazil and Morocco.
Steve Clarke's men will play their first two games at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough before taking on five-time world champions Brazil in Miami.
The Tartan Army are expected to travel in their thousands for the tournament and make their presence felt across the pond.
Scotland are set to have a bank holiday to mark the historic achievement but there were concerns about whether fans could wear sporrans at matches.
The pouch worn at the front of kilts does not meet the code of conduct for stadiums as it is too big. The strict rules stipulate that only large bags allowed need to be made from clear plastic and cannot be more than 30cm x 30cm x 15cm.
Small, non-see-through bags have a maximum of 11cm x 16.5cm in size, presenting a serious problem for a good chunk of Scots.

They also said that matchday staff will be educated and informed to ensure there are no issues.
As per the BBC, a SFA spokesperson said: "FIFA have confirmed that sporrans will be permitted into the stadiums following the standard search and inspection procedures and will continue to work together with the Scottish FA to educate their matchday staff as they prepare to welcome fans to Boston and Miami.
"The ticketing and membership team at the Scottish FA are in continued dialogue with the tournament hosts to ensure that the Scotland fans will be welcomed to venues in the way they have been across the world."
A key part of Scottish culture, the sporran essentially acts as a purse for Scots because kilts do not have any pockets. It hangs below the belt from a chain or leather strap and can often have animal fur and tassels.
