Jordan Henderson's father, Brian, has issued further details on the extent of the horror arm injury his son suffered following England's 3-2 win over Mexico in the World Cup last 16.
Henderson was an unused substitute in Mexico City as England played the final 47 minutes, including stoppage time, with 10 players after Jarell Quansah was shown a straight red card.
The Brentford midfielder still managed to pick up a yellow card following a confrontation on the sidelines.
A much more serious incident, however, occurred when Henderson attempted to jump over the advertising hoardings after England players had gone over to celebrate with supporters.

As he climbed over, Henderson lost his footing and fell to the ground, landing directly on his arm.
He received immediate medical treatment as his team-mates and members of England's coaching staff gathered around him, and he was given oxygen before being stretchered off and transported to a hospital in Mexico City.

England manager Thomas Tuchel described the injury as 'really, really bad', and it was later confirmed that Henderson would undergo surgery on a broken wrist which will end his participation at the World Cup.
Henderson has posted to social media since his injury, although didn't directly reference the advertising hoardings incident.
"A night to remember that's for sure!" he wrote. "What an incredible performance against all the different challenges. So proud to be a part of this special team.
"Thanks for all the support, another big one Saturday."
Henderson received messages of support in the comments section from England team-mates Marcus Rashford, Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, Anthony Gordon and Elliot Anderson.
Whether the 36-year-old now flies back home to England, or stays with the rest of the squad, is uncertain.
But his father, Brian, has revealed the horror extent of his injury.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he stated that Henderson has 'completely smashed' his left forearm, and that a surgeon who has experience of dealing with similar injuries to NFL stars has been lined up to operate.
"I just thought he'd fallen... maybe scraped his wrist," he added. "I had no idea it was that serious until they were interviewing Harry Kane, and a trolley came past with Jordan on it. I could see him on there with oxygen.
"I was up all night waiting to hear the news."
England introduce new rule after Henderson injury
According to reports, Three Lions boss Tuchel will warn all his players not to jump over advertising hoardings to avoid a repeat of Henderson's unfortunate injury.
Speaking in his post-match interview with BBC Sport after England's 3-2 win over co-hosts Mexico, Tuchel stated: "He injured his wrist. He is in hospital, so it is quite a serious injury.
"It just doesn't fit in to the evening that Jordan is now not with us. I don't know the procedure, what is going on."
Henderson cannot be replaced in England's squad, as per FIFA protocol, as replacements for injury or other reasons can only be made up until a nation plays their first match at the World Cup.
