England have not had the best preparation for their World Cup opener against Croatia on Wednesday with the theft of training equipment.
It was reported that players’ boots, footballs, and other training equipment had been stolen, with the theft taking place while the gear was en route from West Palm Beach in Florida to England’s Swope Soccer Village base in Missouri.
The FA have been liaising with local police to attempt to recover the stolen goods; however, the main thing for Thomas Tuchel and the squad is that their preparations have been disrupted as they aim to win the World Cup.
It would be England’s first World Cup victory since 1966, and Tuchel will be aiming to become the first manager that is not native to the nation he is managing to win the World Cup.

However, while he may dream of this, his plans and England’s have once again disrupted, this time by the US officials.

England’s Team Chef forced to hand over his cooking knives
The team’s chef was stopped from boarding a train from West Palm Beach to Orlando because he was carrying cooking knives.
This has been reported by the Daily Mail, as the chef triggered a security alert as he tried to board a train from West Palm Beach to Orlando ahead of England’s friendly against Costa Rica.
It is understood that the chef unwittingly set off a metal detector at the station, and he was told he would not be permitted to take the knives on the service travelling without them.
According to the report, the incident was resolved amicably, and alternative arrangements have been made.
Fans will be aware of how important diets are to the professional game and how this could impact England in winning the World Cup; however, with the situation being resolved, the supporters can breathe easy that this appears to have been solved and they will not be seriously impacted by this incident.
The attention of England will be beyond these events as they look to make a winning start to this World Cup, with their opening game on Wednesday against a side that has impressed in the last two iterations of the competitions.
