An Fantasy Premier League (FPL) expert has begged managers to stop making the mistake that thousands already have.

The new season not only means that the Premier League is back, but also that FPL has returned as a daily topic of conversation between fans across the country and globe.

Every year millions of fans pick their teams and prepare themselves for hours spent agonising about transfers, substitutions, captaincy decisions and when to play their wildcard.

There's no one way to build the best FPL team, but one expert has begged fans to stop falling into the trap that thousands of managers do every year.

On Sunday, FPLFAN on TikTok lamented the fact that thousands of FPL managers had made transfers despite gameweek 1 not even being completed.

"Please stop making this mistake that thousands of managers are making, just don't do this," he began.

"We still have loads of teams to play on Sunday and Monday but plenty of managers have seen enough. They've already made loads of transfers going into gameweek 2.

"[Noussair] Mazraoui already being bought by 64,000 FPL managers... I get it, £4.5m is a good price for him, but let's be real, the fixtures coming up are not ideal.

"Brighton away, who have just had a great win against Everton, followed by Liverpool at home. I just do not see this as a good transfer for your teams, especially when we still have games on Sunday and Monday to come.

"I get it, FPL is back, it's exciting and you want to make transfers straight off the bat, but honestly, holding off on your transfers early doors is the best thing you can do.

"We've seen some highly-owned players already get injured and some surprising rotations.

"So don't be making early transfers, avoid it, wait for them to happen, then you can decide what to do with your team."

Mazraoui earned six points as United beat Fulham 1-0 on Friday, and was subsequently awarded an additional two bonus points after his impressive debut.
