Fans have spotted what Emiliano Martinez did to the cameraman immediately after Argentina's defeat to Colombia.

Without Lionel Messi, Argentina were unable to beat Colombia in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

Colombia ran out 2-1 winners as Yerson Mosquera and James Rodriguez secured a famous victory over the current World Cup holders.

After the final whistle, Aston Villa goalkeeper Martinez was NOT in a good mood.

A clip shows the 32-year-old angrily slapping a camera that was following him around the pitch in wake of his national team's crushing defeat.

Martinez's post-match actions didn't go unnoticed among fans on social media.

One X user wrote: "Hating on Emi Martinez because Messi won the WC is so crazy."

A second said: "Emi Martinez is 100% the player I dislike the most."

A third added: "Emi Martinez got to be one of the most hated footballers rightly so."

A fourth joked: "No more dancing from Emi Martinez."

Despite losing the second game of their World Cup qualifying campaign, Argentina remain at the top of the CONMEBOL group.

They have 18 points on the board, two points ahead of Colombia.

Speaking after the 2-1 defeat to the Colombians, Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni said: "If I speak, they’ll say we don’t know how to lose. I congratulate Colombia.

"What bothered me more was that there was hardly any play after the penalty. Very little time was played, and the game was constantly interrupted.

"Sometimes things go our way, and this time they didn’t. We have to lower our heads and continue.

"I think we played a good match, given the circumstances. We stood tall at all times and could have even won it."
