Cristiano Ronaldo surprises his mum with incredible gift for her 69th birthday, she struggled to hold back tears

Cristiano Ronaldo surprised his mum on her birthday after flying back to celebrate the special day.

Dolores Aveiro turned 69 on Sunday and Ronaldo jetted in from Riyadh to be with his mum and the rest of the family in his hometown of Madeira.

Ronaldo had been in action on Saturday, scoring in a 4-1 win for Al Nassr against Al Taawoun and making it 54 goals for 2023 for club and country.

But he made sure he was with his mother for her birthday and had an incredible surprise waiting for her.

Ronaldo gifted his biggest supporter a new Porsche, with her reaction caught on camera.

Dolores was escorted to the Porsche Cayenne by Ronaldo's eldest son Cristiano Jr.

The vehicle had a red ribbon tied into a bow and was nearly reduced to tears such was the emotion she felt.

She immediately embraced her grandson before hopping inside the car to get a closer look at the interior.

Ronaldo, Georgina Rodriguez and other family members looked on from inside the garage.

Ronaldo's sister Katia praised him for the present, taking to Instagram to write: "If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift.

"Honor your father and your mother and your days on earth will be long."

Ronaldo has been enjoying living in Riyadh, having made the move a year ago following his Manchester United contract being terminated by mutual consent.

He will now have an extended period without playing as Al Nassr do not have a scheduled competitive fixture until 12 February when they return to AFC Champions League action.

However he is set to meet Lionel Messi for one 'Last Dance' as Al Nassr take on Inter Miami in a friendly as part of the 'Riyadh Season Cup' on February 1.
