
Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to add another trophy to his incredible collection as he bids to close in rival Lionel Messi's silverware haul.
On Saturday Ronaldo's Al Nassr contest the Saudi Super Cup, taking on an Al Ahli side which includes Ivan Toney, Riyad Mahrez, Edouard Mendy and Franck Kessie.
Prior to the game, England striker Toney has not minced his words by slamming his side's preparation being affected and the conditions they have have had to contend with.

"To be honest, the preparation and how we’ve been treated has been crazy," he said in a press conference.
“We’ve been on the worst pitch, and trained after other teams. We’ve been the most hated, the team nobody wants to win; it gives us that extra hunger and fight to win something against these teams."
Jorge Jesus's side progressed to the final after beating Al Ittihad 2-1 in the semi-final despite Sadio Mane's first half red card.
Meanwhile, Al Ahli set up the Hong Kong showdown with Al Nassr by trouncing Al Qadsiah 5-1 on Wednesday.

Ronaldo is looking to win his second bit of silverware with Al Nassr, who he joined in January 2023. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has not lifted a league title or the Kings' Cup knockout competition since making the move to Saudi Arabia, with his only honour the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023.

That moved Ronaldo to 35 official titles in his decorated career, before he added a second UEFA Nations League title to his collection to make it 36 in June.
Ronaldo started his professional career with Sporting CP in 2002 and his first trophy was the FA Cup with Manchester United in 2004 after his £12.75 million move.

With United, Ronaldo also won two League Cups and three Premier Leagues, as well as the first of five Champions Leagues - the majority of which were won at Real Madrid.

Ronaldo has one more Champions League crown than Messi, who is a five-time winner with Barcelona.
Messi has significantly more league titles though, with 13 to seven. Though a good chunk were with Barcelona, his latest was the MLS Supporters' Shield with Inter Miami, which followed up a Leagues Cup success in 2023.
According to MessivsRonaldo, Ronaldo has three international titles to his name with Portugal, compared to Messi's four - made up of two Copa Americas, one Finalissima and the coveted World Cup which he finally got his hands on in with Argentina in 2022.
Overall, Messi has 10 more official titles than Ronaldo but that includes taking into account the 2008 Olympics - as well as the Under 20 World Cup in 2005.

When it comes to major individual awards, he also leads the way with eight Ballon d'Ors to five and the same split for FIFA's prestigious gongs.
