Georgina Rodriguez took to social media on Monday to announce her engagement to football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Rodriguez posted on her official Instagram account a picture of the pair holding hands with the engagement ring, alongside the caption: “Yes I do. In this and all my lives.”
Ronaldo, who has played for Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid in a glittering career, moved to Saudi Arabia to play for Al Nassr in 2022.
At the time, authorities in Saudi Arabia 'turned a blind eye’ to the pair’s relationship status in order to get the deal over the line.

The country forbids unmarried couples from living together, but relaxed the ruling in order for Ronaldo to complete his move to the Saudi Pro League side.
“Although the laws of the kingdom still prohibit cohabitation without a marriage contract, the authorities have recently started to turn a blind eye and no longer prosecute anyone,” an anonymous lawyer told EFE, as per SPORT.
“Although these laws are used when there is a problem or a crime.”

The Portugal captain has previously spoken about marriage, stating in 2022: “I'm not thinking now about that but I can see in the future I think I deserve, she deserves, but it's something that's not coming now in my plans but in the future is yes, I want.”
And the confirmation of their engagement led many to question how much the ring itself cost.
Rodriguez’s Instagram post showed the 31-year-old sporting a gargantuan diamond on her left ring finger, and a jewellery expert has since spilled the details of the eye-watering cost of the ring.
Some estimated that a central oval ring would likely be upwards of 22 carats, while others guessed it would be between 25 and 30 carats, which carry a price tag of between $2-4 million (£1.4m-£2.9m)
How much did Cristiano Ronaldo pay for the ring?
Anna Whiting, the General Manager of jewellery experts Cushla Whiting, told ELLE magazine the oval-cut ring is likely to be upwards of 25 carats.

“The oval cut, with its elongated shape, boosts the impact of the diamond while giving the finger a flattering look,” Whiting said.
“On either side of the main diamond are two smaller stones, likely about one carat each, creating a balanced three-stone design.
“The ring is made of platinum or white gold and uses a simple double claw setting that lifts the centre diamond, allowing light to enter and enhance its brilliance. This setting highlights the main stone while keeping it secure.”

And on the cost of the ring?
Whiting added: “Considering the size and quality of the diamonds, along with the craftsmanship, the ring’s value would be in the tens of millions of dollars.”
Ronaldo penned a new deal with Al Nassr earlier in the summer, meaning he could comfortably afford the best engagement ring for Rodriguez.
Details of the 40-year-old’s contract deal were revealed shortly after the news was confirmed, stating that Ronaldo would receive £488,000 per day, or £3.42m per week. Pocket change for the footballing icon.
