Cristiano Ronaldo smashed a penalty over the bar in injury time as Al Nassr were eliminated from the King's Cup.

Al Nassr exited the competition in the round of 16 stage following their 1-0 home defeat to Al Taawoun on Tuesday.

Ronaldo, however, had the chance to force the tie into extra-time when the hosts were awarded a penalty deep, deep into stoppage time.

But the 39-year-old blazed his spot-kick over the bar.

He was left with his head in his hands after failing to convert the penalty.

Ronaldo has now been knocked out of the King's Cup three times since moving to Al Nassr back in 2022.

He will be hoping to get on the score-sheet when his side resume their Saudi Pro League campaign on Friday against leaders Al Hilal.
