Victor Osimhen has dropped the clearest hint yet that he's joining a Premier League team in the future, having replied to a fan on social media.

Osimhen has been the subject of intense transfer speculation following his incredible goal-scoring exploits for Napoli.

He scored an impressive 31 goals in just 39 appearances in all competitions last season and has eight goals to his name this season.

The star striker signed a new deal on Christmas Eve, tying him to the Serie A champions until 2026.

Despite penning a contract extension at the club, the 25-year-old has been strongly linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Not to mention Chelsea, who are on the hunt for a new No.9 amid their difficulties up front.

And Osimhen has excited Chelsea fans ahead of a potential transfer as he provided an ominous reply to a supporter wishing him a happy birthday.

A Chelsea-supporting X user wrote: "Happy birthday Victor Osimhen, pls come and rescue Chelsea soon."

To which the player replied with two heart and one folded hand emojis.

Osimhen's future appears to lie away from Italy, with veteran agent Dario Canovi expecting him to leave Napoli next summer.

"Napoli have been in difficulty since the start of the championship. In my opinion the departure of (Luciano) Spalletti and (Cristiano) Giuntoli caused what is happening," he told TMW.

"Having let both of them leave, the club was practically massacred, they were the cornerstones of Napoli who won. Giuntoli and especially Spalletti.

"Osimhen is a renewal that simply serves to increase the price. In my opinion he will go away in June."

The Nigerian international made his name at Lille before Napoli secured his services for a club-record £61 million.

He could command a transfer fee worth up to £100 million.
