Chelsea fans have been reacting on social media after spotting what Jadon Sancho did after Enzo Fernandez's goal against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues came from 2-0 down to beat Spurs 4-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a brilliant second-half performance.

Cole Palmer was instrumental as he scored twice from the spot while also producing a stunning assist for Fernandez's goal.

After Argentine Fernandez's goal, it was spotted that Sancho took out Spurs' corner flag and threw it onto the ground.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: "Sancho telling these man "we dont need corners."

A fifth commented: "Tottenham to the bin."

Another fan said: "Subtle disrespect... hahahaha."

Speaking to BBC Match of the Day after the game, Sancho said: "Going 2-0 down in the first half was not ideal but I knew we'd come back into the game when we got that first goal.

"Going in at halftime, the gaffer was telling us we were in the game. I have so much belief in the players so I knew we'd come out firing."

The Englishman added: "They're very aggressive and we knew we'd catch them if we broke the lines and beat the press. The gaffer told us to stay wide and create the one-on-ones.

"I've been working on my shooting a bit more. The staff and the players have been telling me otherwise."

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said: "The first 10 or 15 minutes we conceded two easy goals but overall we were in control of the game.

Advert

"The reaction of the players was mentally strong both on and off the ball."

Chelsea will be back in action on Thursday night when they take on Astana in the UEFA Europa League.
