Manchester United fans have spotted club captain Bruno Fernandes’ message to Jadon Sancho after the winger made his Chelsea debut.

On transfer deadline day, Sancho left Old Trafford for Stamford Bridge in a season-long loan deal.

The Englishman made his Blues debut on Saturday night when he came on for Pedro Neto at the start of the second half against Bournemouth.

Sancho went on to play a big part as he assisted Christopher Nkunku’s winning goal to seal a 1-0 win for Chelsea.

After the match, Sancho posted on social media, writing: “Delighted to make my Chelsea debut, and to top it off with a win!”

In the comments section, United captain Fernandes wrote: “Some player you, keep that smile.”

However, some United fans were not too pleased with the Portuguese’s comment.

One fan replied: “Being the captain for Manchester United this doesn’t look right…no wonder we are struggling smh.”

Another wrote: “What a disgrace for out club and he is our captain. Strip him of captaincy and give it to someone else.”

A third fan added: “This is wrong….Roy Keane can’t do this.”

Speaking after the match, Sancho said: “First of all it is amazing to make my debut for Chelsea. Just being back playing I'm very grateful. The team played very well and we are happy with the three points.

“I've been working hard for this moment and I'm just happy that I got my chance. I had a great end to last season being in the Champions League final. I'm just happy to make my debut for Chelsea.”

He added: “I have to thank all the staff and my team-mates. The first day I came in, they made me feel welcome and I'm so happy to feel this comfortable.”

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca said: “I said already when we brought in Jadon that the reason why is because we were looking for another winger like Noni [Madueke]. Noni is doing that on the right side, winning one v one, creating chances, scoring goals and we were looking for the same on our left side with Jadon.

“We already have Mischa [Mudryk] there, Pedro is playing there but it's good to have both wingers they can give us this kind of options.”
