If you showed up for a five-a-side match and found Cole Palmer lining up as the captain of the opposition, you'd be surprised.
The Chelsea and England attacking midfielder is built for the short-format game and his mates are better than yours too.
That's just the way it is. But in a recent video on the club's official Instagram page, Palmer picked his ultimate five-a-side team and there's a significant selection on the teamsheet that is sure to raise more than a few eyebrows.
Palmer picked himself, naturally, and named some serious big hitters to play alongside him.

"In net, Courtois," said the 23-year-old, barely making himself audible over the lift music added to the video for some reason.
"[For] the four players I'd have [Lionel] Messi, Neymar, Ravel and me."

'Ravel' is Ravel Morrison, the 32-year-old midfielder from Palmer's home town of Wythenshawe who came through the ranks at monolithic local club Manchester United as an extremely highly rated prospect but failed to make the grade as a first team player. He has never played more than 36 league matches for any one of his many professional clubs.

Morrison has had some run-ins with the law while bouncing between employers over the course of the last 15 years.
Since leaving Old Trafford to join West Ham United in 2012, the talented but evidently flawed player has had eight permanent clubs and five loan spells.
He's played in England and Wales, Sweden and Italy, the Netherlands and the USA, and could most recently be found in the second division in Dubai representing Precision FC along with the likes of Matt Lowton and Harry Arter.

The Jamaican international is now without a club.
Despite his difficulties as a United player, Morrison retains the respect of Sir Alex Ferguson.
'The boy had a good heart'
"Another thing about Ravel, which I've always treasured because no other young player who made their debut did it, was after the first game in the first team that he played, the next morning he came to my office and gave me a letter thanking me for giving me his debut," Ferguson told Rio Ferdinand in 2021.

"I was gobsmacked, Rio. The boy had a good heart, he was just beaten by his background."
