A month after declaring that he wanted to "follow in the footsteps of Frank Lampard" and win trophies at Chelsea, it appears Enzo Fernandez is considering an exit from the Premier League club.
Fernandez, who joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2022 for a then-British record transfer fee of £106.8 million, has been strongly linked with a summer move.
Earlier this month, a report from L'Equipe claimed Paris Saint-Germain are long-term admirers of the midfielder and are ‘in contact’ with both the player and his representatives about a potential deal.
Real Madrid have also shown an interest in previous transfer windows.

As speculation continues to swirl around his future, Argentine publication TYC Sports claimed on Sunday night that Fernandez is 'prepared for another leap in his career' and 'could leave in the next transfer window'.
"Liam Rosenior considers him irreplaceable. However, these could be his last months in London," the report adds.

It is noted that no offers have been officially submitted yet, and they would have to be 'substantial' for Chelsea to let him leave, but rumours of a departure are certainly building ahead of the summer.
Enzo Fernandez recently made big claims about his Chelsea future
The 25-year-old midfielder, who has scored 12 goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season, recently opened up on his desire to win "a lot more trophies" at the London club.
"I'm grateful for the three years I've had at the club," he told Sky Sports in February. "It's gone from worse to better. Being here today makes me very happy."
"I want to keep winning things with the club, because that's what this shirt demands," he added. "I'm very connected to the club and I feel very good, so I hope to win a lot more trophies here."

In that interview, Fernandez also said that he wanted to "follow in Frank Lampard's footsteps at Chelsea" as he called the former midfielder "an idol".
"He was an exceptional player and a legend here for Chelsea," Fernandez said about Lampard. "I don't like to be compared to him, because he has achieved a lot more here than I have. He's an idol. I hope to follow in his footsteps at Chelsea."
