Fans have been saying the same thing after seeing training footage of Mykhailo Mudryk.

Chelsea forked out £62 million back in January to sign Mudryk from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.

Since signing for the Stamford Bridge club, Mudryk has so far failed to impress after managing just two assists and zero competitive goals.

Ahead of the new season, footage of the winger training has emerged, you can watch the footage below.

Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “The gym work this guy posts on SM could genuinely end his career… Pace-based player putting all that explosive pressure on his lower body.”

Another tweeted: “Looks slow.”

A third fan added: “We all know how rapid Mudryk is - why did this look so slow.”

Someone else wrote: “I’m faster btw.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Why does he look slower than before? Could it be all the gym work?”

During Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States, Mudryk netted during the Blues’ 4-3 win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

After scoring his first goal for the club, Mudryk insisted he has plenty more to show.

He said: “I feel happy for all the work I put into this goal. It is not all my potential. It is only 20 per cent. I feel good because playing under Pochettino, our manager.

“It is nice, it is enjoyable and it is a new team which is also enjoyable. I enjoyed that one!”

Mudryk continued: “When I shot, I didn't think about anything, I just practice this stuff on the training pitch a lot and this came from training.”

Ahead of the match, manager Mauricio Pochettino said: “Chelsea's history is to win. If it's not possible to, I will tell you at the end of the season.

“But we start in the same place, with the same possibility. The most important thing in football is to believe - and we really need to believe.”
