Fans think they know what Mykhailo Mudryk said to the camera during Chelsea's lap of honour following their game against Newcastle United.

Chelsea ended their woeful Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw with Newcastle on Sunday.

Anthony Gordon scored for the visitors, with an own-goal from Kieran Trippier levelling proceedings at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues finish the 2022/23 season in a very disappointing 12th place, behind the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Brentford, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

Chelsea just couldn't get going following their summer and January arrivals, with £88 million man Mudryk failing to deliver.

The forward played 17 games in all competitions following his big-money move but failed to score a single goal.

After Chelsea's game against Newcastle, the Ukrainian joined his teammates to applaud the home support.

The camera panned to him during the lap of honour and fans think they know what he said to the camera.

He appeared to say 'get my better angle' as the camera immediately swaps sides, with the 22-year-old seemingly nodding his head in approval.

The moment of Mudryk during the lap of honour sent social media wild.

One Twitter user wrote: "Love Mudryk so much man."

A second tweeted: "Guys low key funny, but we need the goals brother."

A third added: "This guy doesn’t lack confidence, he’s gonna get it right eventually."

A fourth said: "He’s actually such a kid man, can’t wait when he starts firing."

Another commented: "Hi aura is just insane idk man just need the goals."

Before their draw against Newcastle, Chelsea played Manchester United, who ran out 4-1 winners.

Mudryk came under fire for his performance as he missed a gilt-edged chance in the opening stages of the fixture at Old Trafford.

His showing angered Gary Neville, who took aim the player.

"Oh my goodness, how many times have we seen that in the first half? So rigid and stiff on the ball," he said.

"It’s so heavy that touch its unbelievable. That is just confidence, or a lack of it.

"It’s like he hasn’t got a picture of what he’s going to do with it before he receives it. It’s all a bit fast in his head."
