Mauricio Pochettino left Chelsea on Thursday after guiding the club to sixth in the Premier League.

Fans have spotted Mauricio Pochettino has only liked one Chelsea player's post after exiting the club.

Pochettino guided Chelsea into the Europa League after a sixth-placed finish, achieved by a strong end to the campaign.

However, the Argentine has only lasted a single season at the helm after it was announced he had left Chelsea by mutual consent on Tuesday following end of year talks.

Chelsea now go back to the drawing board and look for yet another new coach for their project.

Pochettino, meanwhile, has been heavily linked with a switch to the Saudi Pro League for his next venture.

But fans have noticed that on Instagram, Pochettino liked Cole Palmer's post following his departure.

Under Pochettino, the 22-year-old enjoyed the best season of his fledgling career after signing from Manchester City in a £40 million switch.

He scored 25 times in 45 games and winning the Premier League Young Player of the Season award.

In the post which Pochettino liked, Palmer wrote: "Gaffer, thank you for everything you have done for me & making my dreams come true. All the best."

Striker Nicolas Jackson also paid tribute, taking to Instagram to write: “Love you coach. Wish we could stay together more. But may God continue to bless you and your family.

“Thanks for the advices and support you’re a true lion and fighter wish you all the best.”

Moises Caicedo also hailed Pochettino but Malang Sarr, who was completely exited at Chelsea, proceeded to like the post confirming his departure from the west London club.

Commenting on his exit, Pochettino said: “Thank you to the Chelsea ownership group and Sporting Directors for the opportunity to be part of this football club's history. The club is now well positioned to keep moving forward in the Premier League and Europe in the years to come.”

Kieran McKenna, Enzo Maresca, Ruben Amorim and Roberto De Zerbi are just some of the managers said to be under consideration by Chelsea.
