Chelsea are considering the sale of Emmanuel Emegha, according to reports - despite the striker only officially joining the club from Strasbourg at the beginning of July.
The Blues announced last September that they had reached an agreement to sign the 23-year-old Netherlands international ahead of this season.
He took part in his first training session at Cobham last week as the Chelsea first team squad arrived for the beginning of pre-season.
But The Athletic's Simon Johnson now claims that his long-term future may already be in doubt.

They report that Chelsea have 'yet to decide' who to sell this summer out of forwards Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap and Emegha, with one expected to leave the club.
Jackson is part of Chelsea's pre-season training camp squad, having spent last season on loan at Champions League semi-finalists Bayern Munich.
It could, therefore, be that Delap is the one who is shown the door at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old scored just one goal in 28 Premier League appearances last season after his £30 million move from relegated Ipswich Town.

But the Blues could look to sign another striker regardless, with Joao Pedro the undisputed first choice - and that could cause problems for Emegha.
He scored only four Ligue 1 goals for Strasbourg last season, albeit having played just 10 matches due to various injuries.
He suffered a thigh injury in December, which ruled him out for two months, before suffering a recurrence following his return to training.
Emegha then missed the end of the campaign due to a muscle injury, keeping him out of Strasbourg's Conference League semi-final defeat to Rayo Vallecano.

He had netted four goals in seven appearances on their run to the last four, but his injury troubles appeared to be part of the reason why he was not named in Ronald Koeman's Netherlands squad for the 2026 World Cup.
The striker was handed a one-game suspension by former Strasbourg - and former Chelsea - boss Liam Rosenior in December over comments he made to the media.
But Rosenior also praised Emegha's attacking and physical qualities before he himself left for Chelsea in January: "He has been fantastic for me. He's still very young himself. He causes problems for defenders with his energy, running and pressing."
Who have Chelsea signed this summer?
As well as Emegha, Sporting Lisbon winger Geovany Quenda officially moved to Stamford Bridge at the start of July after agreeing a £40 million move back in March 2025.
They have also signed wing-back Marco Pellestra from Atalanta in a deal worth up to £51 million, with the Italy international replacing Marc Cucurella after he joined Real Madrid.
Tyrique George has left to join Everton in a permanent deal after a loan spell last season, while midfielder Andrey Santos has joined Manchester United for £48 million.
Alejandro Garnacho is expected to leave the club and join what would be his third club in the space of 12 months, with manager Alonso stating in his inaugural press conference that he 'hopes this story ends well for everyone'.
