Chelsea and Newcastle have began talks over FIVE players in what is set to be quite the transfer merry-go round this summer.
The 2025/26 Premier League season only finished in Sunday, with both clubs experiencing disappointing campaigns and in desperate need of reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window.
Chelsea swiftly to bring in Xabi Alonso as their new manager on a four-year contract, which commences on 1 July, while Newcastle kept faith in Eddie Howe despite finishing 12th in the Premier League.
But it's already emerged that the clubs are locked in discussions over multiple players. According to Simon Phillips, Chelsea met with Newcastle chiefs to discuss potential business.

It's claimed that Chelsea are interested in bringing back defender Lewis Hall after an impressive season on Tyneside.
Hall played 45 times in all competitions and many feel as though he should have been in England's World Cup squad.

Chelsea see their former academy prospect as the perfect replacement for Marc Cucurella, who looks set to move on in the summer and has interest from Barcelona.
Chelsea star unhappy with game-time as Newcastle talks revealed
But the report notes that Chelsea also enquired about Newcastle midfielders Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes and Newcastle are understood to be willing to listen to offers.
Yet Chelsea were also asked about two of their players, with Newcastle curious about Liam Delap and Josh Acheampong.
Delap was reportedly a target for Newcastle prior to his Chelsea move after scoring 12 goals in 37 games in his debut Premier League season with Ipswich Town.
However, he proceeded to join Chelsea after they activated his £30 million release clause.
The striker failed to secure a regular spot in the Chelsea side though and scored just one goal in 28 Premier League appearances.
Acheampong had broken into the Blues starting XI under Enzo Maresca but his minutes dried up as the season went on, leaving the 20-year-old unhappy as a result.
Despite his displeasure with his lack of game-time, it's said Acheampong will not be on the transfer list and will only be available for a loan move.
The negotiations took place after Newcastle officials were nearby for their final day meeting with Fulham, with the two owners believed to have good relations.
They could result in unofficial swap deals, with Chelsea potentially parting company with a couple of their players in order to get who they want.
Chelsea are also interested in Newcastle's Nick Woltemade, who started well but faded after a club-record £69 million switch from Stuttgart.
Woltemade scored 11 goals in 50 appearances and Newcastle still want to keep him.
