Liverpool fans have issued Trent Alexander-Arnold a warning after spotting exactly what a Real Madrid fan did following Kylian Mbappé’s poor performance at Anfield.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, was sidelined for the Champions League clash, but his replacement, Conor Bradley, put in an excellent showing.

Bradley, 21, had Mbappé’s number for most of the evening before providing a perfectly timed pass to assist Alexis Mac Allister’s goal.

The Northern Ireland international was withdrawn on the 87th-minute mark after seemingly being unable to shake off an injury.

Mbappé, 25, had a torrid evening on Anfield.

His attempts to use his pace and skill to drive toward the Liverpool goal were thwarted by Bradley and Co on several occasions.

But when Lucas Vazquez was fouled by Andrew Robertson in the penalty area, the ensuing spot kick was the Frenchman’s chance to change his fortunes.

However, the Madrid forward’s penalty was saved by the flawless Liverpool 'keeper Caoimhín Kelleher on 61 minutes.

Fans even think they spotted an awkward moment between Mbappé and Bellingham in the tunnel during the half-time interval.

An eagle-eyed Liverpool supporter who was sitting at the Anfield Road end of the stadium also saw one of the Madrid fans seemingly trying to send Mbappe a message.

A video of the away fan emerged on ‘Liv Spares’ X account, with the Los Blancos supporter holding his phone with the words “I H8 Mbappe” emblazoned across the screen.

“This is why Trent [Alexander Arnold] can’t go [to] Madrid!” the video was captioned.

“Their fans are a joke, turning on their places, wouldn’t see that at Anfield! UTFR.”

Of course, it is fair to say some Madrid fans aren’t the most forgiving when a player is underperforming.

As five-time Champions League winner with Madrid Gareth Bale experienced, the ‘Madridstas’ are not afraid to give their opinion if they disagree with something that is happening at their club.

Bale is the most successful British player to have represented Madrid.

While Michael Owen and Jonathan Woodgate both struggled to make an impact in the Spanish capital although David Beckham, Laurie Cunningham, and currently Bellingham are highly thought of in Madrid.

The next British export to don the famous white shirt could be Alexander-Arnold, who is out of contract at Anfield this summer.

Madrid have been interested in the England international for some time and can even start talks regarding a pre-contract agreement on January 1, 2025.

On Tuesday, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, was asked for comment on the situation.

"I'm sorry but I cannot think about Alexander-Arnold," Ancelotti admitted.

"He is not my player."
