Carlo Ancelotti fires back at Bayern Munich over disallowed goal complaints and accuses one player of 'diving'

Carlo Ancelotti fires back at Bayern Munich over disallowed goal complaints and accuses one player of 'diving'

Carlo Ancelotti defended Real Madrid's controversial victory over Bayern Munich.

Carlo Ancelotti accused a Bayern Munich player of 'diving' against Real Madrid as he fired back at their complaints.

Thomas Tuchel and the Bayern team were left outraged following their crushing Champions League elimination on Wednesday.

They bemoaned the decision to rule out Matthijs de Ligt's would-be equaliser as he was flagged for offside, preventing a VAR review.

De Ligt slammed the officiating in his post-match interview while Tuchel made a serious allegation against the officials during his post-match press conference.

When asked about Bayern's complaints during his post-match presser, Ancelotti hit out at Joshua Kimmich - accusing him of diving. Check it out below:

After Alphonso Davies' opener, Real thought they had replied instantly when De Ligt converted into his own net from a corner kick routine.

But after a VAR review, match referee Szymon Marciniak disallowed the goal after Nacho was adjudged to have fouled Kimmich.

Nacho raised his hands on Kimmich, who hit the ground in dramatic fashion.

And Ancelotti referenced their disallowed goal when asked about Bayern's complaints about their own goal that was scratched off.

"Bayern complained about the offside? Ok, so we complain about the cancelled goal of Nacho... because Kimmich dived," he exclaimed.

"If they complain about that then we can complain about our goal that was disallowed. Both players were pushing each other and it's Nacho who gets penalised."

Real's disallowed didn't prove crucial as Joselu came to his side's rescue with two late goals.

After coming off the bench, he levelled proceedings when he pounced on a Manuel Neuer error.

The former Stoke City forward then put his side ahead on the night and on aggregate after tapping home from close range.

He was originally ruled offside, but the goal stood following a VAR review.

Real will play Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium in next month's Champions League final.
