Carabao Cup draw simulated as Liverpool get favourable tie and Man United in for potential huge clash

Carabao Cup draw simulated as Liverpool get favourable tie and Man United in for potential huge clash

The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw has been simulated

This week, the Carabao Cup takes centre stage as the fourth-round matches of the competition are played.

On Tuesday, Championship side Middlesbrough booked their place in the last eight after beating Exeter City 3-2.

Joining Michael Carrick’s men in the hat for the next round are Port Vale, who managed to sneak past Mansfield Town.

On Wednesday night, the remaining Premier League teams are in action. The likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are all in action hoping to secure a place in the last eight.

The tie of the round is United vs Newcastle, which is a replay of last season’s final.

During the 22/23 Carabao Cup final, United clinched their eighth League Cup after beating the Magpies by two goals to nil.

Ahead of Wednesday night’s matches, we have decided to bring out the draw simulator to predict what the winners are in for in the quarter-final stage.

If United manage to beat Newcastle, Erik ten Hag’s men will be in for another tough tie as the winners of West Ham vs Arsenal await.

Port Vale, who are the lowest-ranked side left in the competition could be rewarded with a dream away tie at Anfield if record winners Liverpool get the better of Bournemouth.

Chelsea or Blackburn Rovers will take on either Everton or Burnley and rounding off the draw, Middlesbrough will face either Ipswich or Fulham.

Bournemouth/Liverpool vs Port Vale

Middlesbrough vs Ipswich/Fulham

Chelsea/Blackburn Rovers vs Everton/Burnley
