Brooklyn Beckham breaks silence on dad David amid claims he's 'cut contact' with his family over feud

Brooklyn Beckham has broken his silence with a comment about his dad David amid persistent rumours about a feud within the family.

Brooklyn, the oldest child of football icon Beckham and Spice Girl wife Victoria, was not in attendance for any of his father's 50th birthday celebrations - which included a black-tie dinner in their Cotswolds house, a vineyard trip to Saint-Emilion, a party in Notting Hill and a meal at three Michelin-star restaurant Core in Kensington, London.

The Beckhams' other children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper were all present, along with Tom Cruise and Guy Ritchie.

But Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz were not there, returning to the US from London hours before the birthday bash.

Brooklyn did not wish his father a happy birthday on social media and there have been a whole host of rumours about a fractured relationship in the family and the reason behind it.

However, the 26-year-old did mention his dad in a recent interview with The Times, who spent a day with Brooklyn as he geared up for a Formula E Evo racing session in Miami.

Brooklyn, who had a spell in Arsenal's academy before dabbling in modelling, photography and cooking, explained that his love for motorsport stems from his dad.

“It’s something that me and my dad bonded over," he stated.

"My dad’s had some pretty cool cars.”

His pink helmet contained his "lucky numbers", 23 and 7 - both of which are associated with his dad.

No contact between David and Brooklyn Beckham after 50th birthday party snub

It has been claimed that Brooklyn's absence from the party along with other half Peltz is related to Romeo's girlfriend Kim Turnbull, who reportedly dated one of his close friends previously.

No one from the Beckham clan has officially addressed the rumoured rift, but David did say Brooklyn was "missed" after he posted pictures of himself and his sons at a fishing trip.

However, the Daily Mail cited sources close to the family who said there has been "no call, no contact" between Brooklyn and his parents.

As highlighted by the Evening Standard, it's said that David and Victoria have tried to reach out but have not been successful in doing so despite their best efforts.

Brooklyn has been married to Peltz, daughter of Florida billionaire Nelson, since 2022. They tied the knot at his Palm Beach estate but their have been rumours of tension between her and Victoria ever since.
