A section of Brazil fans could be heard singing an anti-Donald Trump chant while the United States national anthem was played ahead of their friendly in Sao Paulo, according to reports.
Brazil recorded a rare victory over the USWNT on Saturday evening as goals from Taina Maranhao and Bia Zaneratto secured only their fifth win over the United States in 44 meetings.
It was a strong start from the visitors. In fact, Sophia Wilson opened the scoring for Emma Hayes' side with their first attack of the game after Trinity Rodman won possession back deep in Brazil’s half.
But the home side found an equaliser with 10 minutes on the clock, when Maranhao headed home at the back post following a pinpoint cross from Isabela.

Brazil would soon take a 2-1 lead after just 14 minutes at the Neo Química Arena, with Zaneratto slotting past Mandy McGlynn with a composed finish. It was enough to seal a huge win for Arthur Elias’s outfit.
"It was an amazing atmosphere and it's one that, as much as I can prepare my team for this, you don't really know until you experience it," Hayes said after the game.

She added: "I am sure for many of my players this is the first time they've ever experienced an intensity from the crowd."
Away from the in-game action and one of the biggest talking points on social media has been the reaction to the United States' national anthem in Sao Paulo.
According to a report from TotalProSports, Brazil supporters could be heard chanting: "Hey Trump, go f*** yourself" when the anthem was being played.
The alleged chant about the US president comes just days after the Trump administration proposed 25% tariffs on imports from Brazil amid allegations of unfair trading practices.
Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Brazil's president, said he received the decision “with indignation”.
“I spoke to President Trump for three hours, and that Marco Rubio guy, the head of the state department, he is anti-Latin American,” he said. “He is a deadly enemy of Cuba, a deadly enemy of many Latin American countries. I already told Trump that he does not like Brazil.”
It is unclear whether the alleged anti-Trump chant was a direct response to the tariffs.
