The 50 biggest derbies in all of football from across the world have been ranked, and there are some big matches missing.

When it comes to supporting a football team, it doesn't get much better than a derby match against your closest rivals.

On Wednesday, the eagerly-anticipated annual meeting between local rivals Liverpool and Everton proved just this, as a controversial late goal led to a controversial finish that ended in four red cards being shown.

But the Merseyside derby is just one of the huge clashes that the United Kingdom offers, with Manchester City vs Manchester United, Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic vs Ranger also among some of the biggest derbies in the world.

Meanwhile, clashes such as Real Madrid vs Barcelona, AC Milan vs Inter Milan, Boca Juniors vs River Plate and Fenerbahce vs Galatasaray are some of the biggest matches from across the globe.

But how do each of the derbies compare to each other? Well Back in 2021, popular football magazine FourFourTwo decided to rank them all and see which came out on top.

Their one rule is that teams can only be included once, which means Liverpool could only have one of Manchester United or Everton as their 'mortal enemy'.
