The punter correctly predicted nine out of 13 results before deciding to cash-out.

A punter has produced one of the greatest cash-outs in betting history over the weekend, taking home a five-figure sum.

The fan placed a £7.89, 13-fold accumulator, attempting to correctly predict results in a number of leagues across Europe.

Bets related to games in the Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and the Scottish Premier League.

And by the Saturday night, all nine that featured all came in - including Luton and Everton drawing, Sassuolo beating champions Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid knocking off Real Mallorca.

The total returns for the bet were just short of £1 million but the bettor did not fancy seeing through.

Instead, with four games remaining involving the likes of Rangers, Brighton, AC Milan and Osasuna, they made the decision to cash out.

That guaranteed a whopping £37,000 with Ladbrokes and it proved to be the correct call.

Brighton beat Villa at the Amex in the 2pm kick-off and Rangers thrashed Kilmarnock but Osasuna's 2-0 defeat to Real Betis killed the bet.

The unnamed individual had predicted for the game to be a draw but former Premier League stars Ayoze Perez and Pablo Fornals were on target for the visitors.

Taking to X to share the bet, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes wrote: “Huge betting story this weekend. A Ladbrokes punter last night cashed out a £7.89 13-fold for just over £37k, having correctly predicted 9/13 results. BUT Had they let the bet ride, they'd now be four games away from (just shy of) a million quid.”

He added: “Brighton to beat Aston Villa, AC Milan to beat Genoa, Rangers to beat Kilmarnock & Osasuna v Real Betis to finish a draw. Those are the picks in question today (that four-fold currently pays around 14/1). If any of those results DON'T come in, it's an incredible cash out.”

You'll struggle to find a better cash-out all season.
