Atletico Madrid's U12 captain goes viral for the most violent pre-match handshake you'll ever see before Real Madrid game

Atletico Madrid's U12 captain goes viral for the most violent pre-match handshake you'll ever see before Real Madrid game

Atletico Madrid U12 took on Real Madrid U12 over the weekend

Atletico Madrid U12 captain has gone viral for possibly the most violent pre-match handshake before their clash with Real Madrid.

Atletico and Madrid are city rivals and their rivalry can be spotted through the different age groups.

Over the weekend, a pre-match clip from Atletico’s U12 side against Madrid’s U12 went viral.

The reason behind the clip going viral was the manner in which Atletico’s captain shook hands with his opponents.

As each player shook hands prior to kick-off, the Atletico captain was spotted slapping the hand of one player before turning to him and lashing out again.

The Madrid player did not react and continued to embrace the rest of the Atletico squad in a much friendlier manner.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Simeone's influence [runs] right the way through.”

Another tweeted: “El capitan setting a terrible example. How old are they? Would of subbed him straight away.”

A third fan added: “Future Atletico Madrid captain if I’ve ever seen one.”

Someone else wrote: “Atletico’s captain channelling Simeone spirit, from earlyyy.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Diego Simeone teaching them young.”

Another fan added: “What do you expect after watching the senior team vs Man City in the UCL?”

In the end, it was Atletico who came away 2-1 winners in the local derby.

Meanwhile, the senior team are set to take on Girona in a crucial La Liga clash on Wednesday night.

Girona have been the surprise package of the 23/24 season so far having amassed 45 points from 18 matches, leaving them level on points with Madrid and are only behind Los Blancos on goal difference.

Madrid will take on Mallorca on Wednesday night, with fourth-placed Barcelona taking on Las Palmas on Thursday night.
