Emi Martinez was seen being held back by Aston Villa staff as he exited the field following their 4-1 defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday.
Arsenal took a huge step into the driving seat for the Premier League title with a dominant victory at the Emirates which puts them six points ahead of Villa, and five ahead of Man City who have a game in hand.
It looked like it could have been a difficult night Mikel Arteta's side in the first half, with high flying Villa looking extremely dangerous on the counter attack, but the second half was a completely different story.
Gabriel Magalhaes got Arsenal off the mark early in the second half, before Martin Zubimendi slotted past Martinez in the 52nd minute to double the Gunners lead.

Leandro Trossard added a third to take the game away from Unai Emery's side following a lengthy VAR check, and second half substitute Gabriel Jesus completed the scoring for the home side.
Ollie Watkins who will rue chances missed in the first half added to his tally in the 94th minute, but it was what happened after the full-time whistle that raised eyebrows.
Unsurprisingly given his history, Martinez faced boos and jeers in the Villa goal throughout the match, but the former Arsenal man appeared to completely lose it as he headed down The Emirates tunnel.
Footage shows the World Cup winner confronting Arsenal supporters before being pushed away by Villa staff as fans chanted 'you're rattled'.
Martinez spent 10 years at The Emirates, but only established himself as number one in 2020 following an injury to Bernd Leno with his transfer to Villa Park coming that summer.
Following the game, the Argentine took to social media to vent his frustrations after believing he was fouled for Gabriel's opener.
He wrote on Instagram: "The best team won today, we still in good position for the 2nd part of the season #elbowsallowed."

Martinez wasn't the only member of the Villa dressing room to let their emotions get the better of them at full time, with Emery heading straight down the tunnel without shaking Arteta's hand.
The Arsenal boss played this down in his interview, claiming he wasn't bothered by his opposite number's antics.
“It’s not an issue. Sometimes we are in this sort of moment, so it’s not an issue for me," he told reporters.
