Liverpool Fans Can’t Get Enough Of Sergio Ramos’ Tears

Liverpool Fans Can’t Get Enough Of Sergio Ramos’ Tears

The lack of sympathy for Sergio Ramos here is...unsurprising

Sergio Ramos was seen in floods of tears after Spain's exit at the hands of Russia - and Liverpool supporters just can't get enough of it.

Spain never got out of third gear during this World Cup despite progressing to the knockout stages of the tournament.

The hosts, Russia, did well to earn a 1-1 draw with the side. It was a nail-biting extra-time, with Russia doing everything defensively to keep Spain at bay.

They earned a showdown of penalties with Spain and knocked them out, much to the surprise of everyone in the stadium and watching at home.

Their captain, Ramos, certainly wears his heart on his sleeve. His winning mentality sometimes, however, causes upset to the opposition, much like the Liverpool supporters who watched the Spaniard injure their star player Mohamed Salah during the Champions League final. Real Madrid went on to win 3-1, and Ramos was accused of deliberately forcing Salah off.

Reds fans haven't forgiven the 32-year-old, not least because of his comments following the clash in Kiev, where he joked about the whole incident with Salah.

He said via the Independent: "Bloody hell, they've given this a lot of attention, the Salah thing ... I didn't want to speak because everything is magnified.

"I see the play as it is. He grabbed my arm first and I fell to the other side, the injury happened to the other arm and they said that I gave him a judo hold.

"After the goalkeeper said that I dazed him with a clash with me. I am only missing Firmino saying that he got a cold because a drop of my sweat!"

Now, Liverpool supporters have got their revenge, taking to social media to lap up the tears of sorry Ramos, following his nation's hapless - and let's be honest, quite embarrassing - defeat to Russia.

Drink it up, Liverpool supporters.
