The Ultimate XI Of FIFA 20 Icons Has Been Chosen By Football Fans

Fans have voted for the ultimate XI of icons from FIFA 20 and it is absolutely filled with footballing legends.

Icon cards made their debut in EA Sports' hit franchise two years ago and they have been a welcome addition.

The cards offer fans the chance to use legends of yesteryear in the game's Ultimate Team mode - but which icons are the undisputed best?

Spanish publication Marca allowed fans to vote on an entire team, which you can check out below with all results correct at the time of writing.

Goalkeeper: Lev Yashin (59%)

Runner-up: Edwin van der Sar (41%)

Left-back: Roberto Carlos (68%)

Runner-up: Paolo Maldini (32%)

Right central defender: Fabio Cannavaro (74%)

Runner-up: Ronald Koeman (26%)

When you have all-time greats such as Paolo Maldini and Pele presumably on your bench, it's a seriously crazy squad you've put together.

One of the more surprising victories in the poll is Ronaldinho's dominance over Thierry Henry.

Both men represented Barcelona in their career but 'El Gaucho' earned 89% of the votes for left-wing while Henry earned only 11% of the vote.

Ronaldo Nazario also ranks ahead of fellow countryman Pele, in a relatively close vote.

The former Real Madrid man earned 59% of the vote over Pele's 41%.

Another man who Ronaldo has been compared to is his namesake, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Both men's cards on this season's game have been compared and it's another comparison that Nazario comes out on top in.
