Christian Benteke and Son Heung-min forgot to take a knee at the beginning of Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur - before stopping to do so.

Palace welcomed 2000 fans inside Selhurst Park for this afternoon's clash and Benteke looked keen to get going.

As referee Kevin Friend blew his whistle, the Belgian darted into the Spurs half and Son tried to wrestle him to the ground.

But both men quickly realised nobody else was playing and dropped to one knee, with Benteke shimmying back to his own half.

Every Premier League team have taken a knee since last season resumed, in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

Benteke and Son aren't the first players to forget, with Sadio Mane getting caught up in the moment for Liverpool vs Everton last campaign.

Fans have reacted to the incident and they couldn't get enough of Benteke and Son's wrestling.

The game ended 1-1 and it was a well-earned point for the home side.

Spurs had taken the lead thanks to a Harry Kane strike which caught out Eagles keeper Vicente Guaita.

Jose Mourinho's men were then tested with Benteke and Eberechi Eze having glorious chances.

Palace's dominance paid off in the second half as Jeffrey Schlupp bundled home an equaliser ten minutes from time.

Guaita was called into action in the dying embers however, making huge saves from a Kane header and Eric Dier free-kick.
