Football legend Ronaldo has a DJ son called 'Ronald' and he's a machine on the decks

Football legend Ronaldo has a DJ son called 'Ronald' and he's a machine on the decks

Ronald has ironed out a career as a DJ which most definitely stems from his father’s partying roots.

For many athletes seeing their son or daughter have a successful sporting career can be the height of their pride.

For the legendary striker Ronaldo, his son certainly followed in his footsteps - albeit not in the football sense.

The former Brazilian number nine’s son, Ronald has ironed out a career as a DJ which most definitely stems from his father’s partying roots.

In fact, Ronaldo joined 60,000 fans to watch DJ Ronald perform a set in the lead-up to Cruzerio’s huge Serie B clash against Vasco, according to The Sun

It was Ronald’s task to warm up the crowd ahead of the game as they cemented their spot back into Brazil’s first division.

He was joined by club mascots Raposinha and Raposao as his father watched on and even got involved at one point.

The former FIFA World Player of the Year is the majority owner of the Brazilian club and also jumped on the microphone at one point with an aim to help his son get the crowd amped up.

The set more than did its job as Cruzeiro went on to win the clash 3-0 with goals coming from Machado, Edu, and Luvannor.

With the win, they secured their promotion to Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A.

And while Ronaldo’s son may not have grown up to be a legendary footballer himself, his father is still incredibly proud of him.

He even takes responsibility for his son choosing such a career path.

In a live stream with David Beckham, he said as per Tribuna: "He's an amazing DJ and he's in Brazil.

"It's my fault, I used to play CDs all the time.

"He grew up seeing me playing lots of music and he became a DJ.

"He's very good, he plays electronic music. In Brazil and everywhere they call him.

"Last year he played in Ibiza for three different clubs."

So he’s no number nine but he’s certainly scoring some high-end DJ sets across the world.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has become quite the regular in the stands watching on his Cruzerio side.

The former Real Madrid striker bought a controlling stake in his boyhood club last year, investing over $100 million (£60m).

He is also the majority owner and president of La Liga club Real Valladolid.
