Paul Pogba has been called a ‘greedy overrated egomaniac’ after a clip from his new documentary surfaced.

The Frenchman’s documentary, ‘The Pogmentary’ is due to be released on Friday on Amazon Prime Video. The show will give fans behind the scenes access to his life and career.

According to The Athletic, a clip from the documentary shows Pogba and his late agent Mino Raiola speaking about a contract offer from Manchester United last summer, believed to be £300,000.

Raiola told Pogba: “Paul, you are in a situation which is very particular. You have no idea. You have no idea.”

The midfielder replied: “Did Manchester(United) make a second offer?”

Raiola told his client: “Yes. They absolutely want you to stay. For me, the offer doesn’t reflect that. I told them, ‘If you want him to stay, don’t make that offer’.”

“I will make them understand that if they really want you to stay and they want to build a project around you, this time they have to act differently and put the money on the table.”

Pogba then replies with: “They’re bluffing, How can you tell a player you absolutely want him and offer him nothing? Never seen that.”

Since the footage of their conversation was released, fans took to social media to show their discontent towards the France international.

One fan tweeted: “How is £300,000 a week nothing? People like Lewandowski don't even collect that much. It is so annoying how greedy football players have become.”

Another fan said: “That's why every real United fan is glad to see the back of the greedy overrated egomaniac.”

A third fan said: “The audacity to call 300k a week 'nothing', while he only had a handful of good performances just shows how far removed from reality he actually is.”

Some people are struggling to buy school meals for their children…. Then you have Paul Pogba who describes a 300kpw offer as a “nothing offer”…

Pogba’s relationship with United fans has always been up and down but it seems like that relationship is now at a point of no return.

A large section of the Old Trafford faithful booed the Frenchman during matches last season and are said to be delighted that the midfielder will no longer be a United player at the start of the 22/23 season in August.

Pogba is expected to join Juventus when he officially leaves United. The 29-year-old will be hoping to regain his best form as he looks to help his country, France defend their World Cup title in Qatar later on in the year.
