Fan Creates Video Of Darwin Nunez Scoring Similar Goals To Fernando Torres, Liverpool Supporters Are Excited

"Torres regen my childhood is back..."

A fan has created an epic video of Darwin Nunez scoring similar goals to Fernando Torres during his time at Liverpool

The Reds have reached an agreement with Benfica to sign Nunez in a transfer worth up to £85 million.

He scored an impressive 34 goals in 41 games across all competitions this season, including two goals against his new side in the Champions League.

Liverpool supporters are excited about their latest addition, with a fan comparing the 22-year-old to club legend Torres.

TikTok user @lfczone uploaded a compilation of Nunez and Torres scoring similar goals.

The Uruguayan's goals are compared to Torres' header against Manchester United, his screamer from outside the box and the Spaniard's sensational volley versus Blackburn Rovers.

The clip of Nunez being compared to Torres got Liverpool fans talking online.

One wrote: "Torres regen my childhood is back."

A second commented: "Wow...we had El Nino...meet El Nuno."

A third added: "Darwin bounce incoming."

Nunez impressed for Benfica and his teammate Adel Taarabt has no doubt he'll be a success in the Premier League, claiming the highly-rated forward is a mix of Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez.

"100 per cent, he showed it in the Champions League you see the two games that he had against Liverpool and he was amazing," he told talkSPORT.

"Even after the game, the second leg, Klopp goes to him direct and said what a player he is.

"Darwin has a mix of [Edinson] Cavani and [Luis] Suarez, he can jump, he can go behind, for me he’s a mix of both.

"I mean 34 goals, six in the Champions League, two against Barcelona, Bayern Munich and two against Liverpool and he’s 21-years-old."

Nunez, who was snapped up by Benfica for a measly £20 million in 2020, also attracted interest from Manchester United and Newcastle United.

But Jurgen Klopp has fended off fierce competition to secure the services of one of the finest young strikers in world football.
