Aston Villa fans will be hoping to see the back of Joleon Lescott after this absymal season is over. The Villans' long expected relegation was confirmed today and Lescott, not long removed from 'accidentally' tweeting a picture of a luxury Mercedes in the immediate aftermath of crushing 6-0 defeat by Liverpool, decided to make a ridiculous statement following Villa's relegation at Old Trafford, today.
Villa's fate was confirmed after a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United this afternoon, with Marcus Rashford's first half goal deciding matters. Then, as if his performances this season hadn't been embarrassing enough, the former West Brom and Everton defender said this:
We're not sure if Lescott was dared to say this or if he really is this oblivious to Villa's plight. Either way, the responses to his comments haven't been very forgiving.
