Erling Haaland only wanted to sing ONE song at Manchester City's parade, and it went down a treat among their fans.

Haaland enjoyed a sensational debut season in England, helping Man City to a treble having won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League this season.

He scored a staggering 52 goals in all competitions, but despite his heroics this season, he took a backseat in the club's parade on Monday.

Jack Grealish grabbed all the headlines as he seemed to have a great time. Though Haaland's contribution to the parade was well received by supporters.

After their open-top bus parade, the Man City squad and staff continued the celebrations at Depot Mayfield, where the Norwegian phenom took the mic and addressed the crowd.

The 22-year-old sang "Champions of Europe, you'll never sing that!" Of course, a reference to rival fans chanting that song against them this campaign.

Haaland jokingly singing the song aimed at them this season got Man City fans talking online

One Twitter user wrote: "Build him at statue already."

A second tweeted: "You gotta love this bloke."

A third added: "I just love Haaland."

A fourth said: "Taking the p**s, I love it."

Another commented: "I love Haaland he knows just how to clap back."

Haaland also praised Pep Guardiola and said he looks forward to developing even more under the Man City boss' tutelage.

"It's such a big game, the pressure is unbelievable, you all know that. To work with Pep is really special," he said.

"We have a good relationship and he's helped me a lot. I look forward to developing even more.

"I'm still young, I have a lot of years left.

"To be getting trained by him every day, the best coach in the world, it's a good place to be."

The Blues forward added: "[It’s] Unbelievable. In my wildest dreams I would never think of this as a 22-year-old me to be honest.

"But it shows that it's possible for a guy from a small town in Norway.

"This also gives, I think, motivation to other young people in my same kind of situation playing football in the indoor hall in my hometown.

"We have to defend what we achieved this season. That's how it works.

"In a month, two months everything is forgotten and we have to attack it again."
