Fans are convinced Erling Haaland watched Arsenal's thrilling draw with Southampton following his 'perfectly timed tweet'.

Arsenal rescued a point against Southampton at the Emirates on Friday as Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka scored in the closing stages of the game to earn their side a massive point.

Rival fans and even some Arsenal supporters accused the Gunners of 'bottling' the Premier League title, having dropped points in each of their last three league matches.

It doesn't get any easier for Mikel Arteta's team as they resume their league campaign next Wednesday when they travel to the Etihad to face second-placed Manchester City.

Haaland, who has scored a staggering 32 league goals this season, will look to improve his goal-tally when he comes up against Arsenal.

And he seems to be in great 'mood' as he posted on social media following Arsenal's 3-3 draw against Southampton.

He shared three pictures of himself in training, accompanied with the caption: "MOOD. STILL."

Man City fans are convinced the Norwegian phenom watched Arsenal vs. Southampton considering the timing of his tweet.

One Twitter user wrote: "What perfect tweet timing!"

A second tweeted: "The perfect time for the tweet."

A third added: "The timing of this tweet Erling!"

A fourth said: "Posting it after arsenal bottling another game."

Another commented: "You definitely watched the arsenal game lol."

Man City are five points behind Arsenal, but have TWO games in hand as they meet next week.

Speaking after their last league victory over Leicester City, Guardiola said if his side lose the game then the title will be 'almost over'.

He said: "Like I said in the previous press conference, it is to win win win.

"They [Arsenal] have had an incredible run so far this season, I don't think they will drop many points and we have to be in there.

"It is important for us to arrive at the match by winning today and [it is] a final against them in the next Premier League game."

On facing Arsenal, the Spaniard added: "It is a final to play more finals. If we lose this game it will be almost over.

"We have to arrive in this position having the chance to be close to Arsenal. We want this opportunity knowing how difficult it will be but before that we have a Champions League semi-final chance and the FA Cup."
