Former England and Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes ‘demanded’ the Red Devils sign a Three Lions player after his performance in the 3-1 defeat against Senegal on Tuesday.
Thomas Tuchel’s side put in a poor performance in only the second England game to ever take place at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground.
Things started well as Harry Kane put the Three Lions ahead on seven minutes, netting his 73rd goal for his country.

But Senegal fought back and levelled thanks to Crystal Palace’s Ismaïla Sarr on 40 minutes before the away side took a shock lead via Habib Diarra just after the hour mark.
Jude Bellingham saw his equaliser ruled out with ten minutes left after referee Stephanie Frappart was sent to the monitor.
The African side then put the result beyond doubt with a third in second-half stoppage time as Cheikh Sabaly stunned the crowd in Nottingham.

Former Manchester Utd captain Roy Keane slammed the Three Lions after the game, he said: “They are all waiting for something to happen. They don't look like a happy group. Are they really all in it together? I'm not so sure."
Meanwhile, skipper Kane cut a disappointed figure in his post-match interview with ITV.
"Not good enough,” Kane exclaimed. “We had moments, but with and without the ball, things aren't clicking, we're not finding the right tempo. We've lost that aggressive nature that we had."
He added: “We're not going to panic, but we know we need to be better. New ideas, there's new players coming into the team that don't have experience at international level. It's a mixture of things, but no excuses. We need to find it quick, the World Cup is going to come around really fast, so every camp is really important right now."

And despite the collectively poor performance from England, Scholes was still impressed by Eberechi Eze, who started the match.

The former United midfielder took to Instagram during the game, posting a photograph of Eze accompanied by the caption: “Just buy him…”
Eze is currently contracted to Crystal Palace until June 2027 and recently scored the winning goal in their FA Cup final win over Manchester City.
