England's World Cup kits leaked early with fans split over 'awful' home shirt and 'sensational' away strip

England's kits for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar have been leaked online and they've certainly divided opinion among supporters.

Images of the home and away kits appeared on social media on Thursday morning, along with a number of other international strips designed by Nike.

Harry Kane is pictured wearing England's new white and blue home shirt, while Phil Foden is seen modelling a red away kit with blue trim.

Fans quickly took to social media to slam the home kit, which appears to be inspired by England's famous strip for the 1996 Euros.

"If that's England's new home kit... @nikefootball need 2 hold their heads in shame!! It's woeful," wrote one fan on Twitter.

Another added: "New England home kit looking like a sports direct special."

A third wrote: "The home shirt is one the worst England kits I've seen."

While another fan added: "Awful home kit. Will be iconic when we win the world cup though."

Fans were more satisfied with England's away kit, another throwback design inspired by the Three Lions much-loved 1990 second strip.

"Home obviously dreadful. Away looks great," wrote one fan.

Another added: "Home awful, away sensational."

The leak comes on the same day that England manager Gareth Southgate names his squad for this month's Nations League games against Italy and Germany.

It is the last opportunity for Southgate to work with his players before announcing his final squad for the World Cup, which begins on November 20.

England face Iran in their opening game of the tournament on November before taking on the United States (November 25) and Wales (November 29) in their remaining Group B games.
