Emma Hayes guides Chelsea to another WSL crown and fans are all saying the same thing

Everyone is saying the same thing.

Fans are all saying the same thing after Emma Hayes guided Chelsea to another Women’s Super League title.

Hayes claimed her fourth WSL in succession on Saturday with a 3-0 win at Reading in the final game of the season.

It completed a league and FA Cup double and marked the 51-year-old’s 14th major trophy since taking the manager’s job at Kingsmeadow back in 2012.

The club’s success has not wavered, despite growing investment and competition from their challengers. The Blues are constantly in the running for every trophy available, having also reached the Champions League semi-finals and fallen short in the League Cup final earlier this year.

And the women’s team’s success is in stark contrast to the men’s team this term.

Under the chaotic ownership of Todd Boehly, Chelsea’s men have spent £600million, sacked two managers, and are set to finish the season trophyless and in the Premier League’s bottom half.

And with interim coach Frank Lampard set to step aside at the end of the season, having won just one of his ten games in charge, fans are calling for Hayes to be given the Chelsea men’s job.

Emma Hayes for Chelsea’s men’s team?

On Twitter, several people have called for Chelsea to appoint Hayes as the men’s team manager.

Of course, former Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is allegedly on the cusp of being appointed as the fourth manager in Boehly’s 12 months in charge at Chelsea. However, some are calling for Hayes to get the nod instead.

Twitter user Lloyd Clark cheekily said: “Give Emma Hayes the men’s manager job, provided she's willing to take the step down…”

Meanwhile, Firstofhisname said: “Why is the men's team still looking for a coach? Emma Hayes should get the job!!!!!”

Sergio Chipolina added: “Never mind Pochettino bring in Emma Hayes she simply doesn't take any s*** and gets the job done. Women playing with passion, playing with spirit, guts, hunger, desire and more importantly they all know what they're doing. It’s called good organisation. Men should learn from this lot.”

Moh Patel said: “Emma Hayes genuinely needs to have a chat with the men's team.”
