New Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai has revealed the secret behind his technique.

Last week, it was reported that Liverpool were interested in signing Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig.

On Sunday, the Anfield club officially confirmed the signing of the 22-year-old Hungarian midfielder after triggering his £60 million release clause in his Leipzig contract.

Liverpool fans have been getting very excited after watching highlights videos on social media.

Previously, Szoboszlai has revealed the secret behind his technique is his foot size.

According to Magyar Nemzet, he said: “I have very small feet, only 41(UK 7), but I am also tall, 186 cm, and this gives the ball a special trajectory.”

In the 22/23 season, Szoboszlai managed 10 goals and 13 assists in 46 appearances across all competitions for Leipzig.

Upon joining Liverpool, he said: “It’s really, really good. I enjoyed the last [few] days and I’m looking forward to knowing everybody better.

“The last three or four days went really long; it was not that easy. But at the end I’m here, I’m happy and I can’t wait to get started.”

Szoboszlai added: “It’s really nice. I’ve been in Salzburg, in Leipzig, it was also nice. But here as well it’s really cool.

“I was really happy but still I stayed calm because I didn’t want to be too early happy. First when the boss called me, I felt, OK, it can be a really good thing. At the end, yes, everything was perfect.”

Szoboszlai will wear the no.8 shirt for Liverpool, a shirt made famous by club legend Steven Gerrard.

When asked why he picked the number, Szoboszlai said: “

Not a special reason but of course it’s a great number, a lot of great players had this number.

“And also I have a tattoo from Steven Gerrard, what he said – I don’t even remember when but before. It was also a reason why.”
