Declan Rice drops F-bomb live on BBC during West Ham victory parade

Declan Rice drops F-bomb live on BBC during West Ham victory parade

Declan Rice lifted the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy on Wednesday night

A jubilant Declan Rice swore on live TV during West Ham’s open-top bus parade after their Europa Conference League triumph.

On Wednesday night, the Hammers ended their long trophy drought as goals from Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen sealed a 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

It was a magical end to what has been a difficult season domestically for David Moyes’ men as they flirted with relegation in the Premier League.

After partying until the early hours in Prague, the West Ham players celebrated their victory with fans on the streets of London on Thursday evening.

As the open-top bus parade reached the finishing point, Hammers captain Rice took to the microphone. You can watch the footage below. The video contains strong language.

He said: “To be honest with you, I didn’t expect this many people to turn up tonight. But it is West Ham so, we’re f***ing massive, ain’t we?!”

The thousands of West Ham fans cheered loudly before the BBC were forced to apologise for Rice’s language.

Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “This guy’s vibes are unmatched.”

Another tweeted: “Love it. Fair play to the lad and West Ham.”

A third fan added: “How can you possibly dislike Declan Rice… He’s just a really top bloke isn’t he?”

Someone else wrote: “As a Spurs fan talking about a West Ham legend who is likely going to be an Arsenal player I should really disagree. But I don’t. He’s an awesome bloke.”

Before dropping the F-bomb on national TV, Rice said: “To lift this trophy for this club hasn't hit me yet. It is so special. I am lost for words.

“These are the best fans in the world again for me - two years in a row now we have been in Europe and they travel all around to follow us.”

He added: “The future is bright, we have some top players. Let's see what it holds.”

However, this could be the last time we see Rice in a West Ham shirt as speculation around his exit is intensifying, with Arsenal said to be favourites to sign the 24-year-old.
