Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace this evening as the two clubs kick off the new Premier League season.

It has been an extremely successful summer for the Gunners so far and the £118 million they have spent is the highest of any Premier League club.

The additions of Fabio Viera, Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus and the recalling of Saliba after his loan spell has breathed new life into the club and helped them complete a flawless pre-season that included a 4-0 thumping of Premier League rivals Chelsea and a 6-0 thrashing of Sevilla.

Palace have had a quieter summer than their London neighbours in terms of transfer activity, but the addition of England keeper Sam Johnstone on a free looks to be a smart bit of business.

Both sides will be looking to improve on their respective finishes from last season, with Arsenal hoping this is the year that they will secure Champions League football.

The Gunners will also be keen to avoid a repeat of last year’s opening game, when they were beaten 2-0 by London rivals Brentford.

Here is everything you need to know about Crystal Palace vs Arsenal.
