Video proves Lionel Messi has 'lived Cristiano Ronaldo's dream' and ends the GOAT debate once and for all

Messi and Ronaldo have always been rivals but it seems that the Argentinian has ticked off all of Ronaldo's bucket list.

A viral video from Lionel Messi fans has claimed that the Argentina forward has completed Cristiano Ronaldo's football dreams better than his rival.

With Ronaldo having gone to play in Saudi Arabia at the beginning of the year and Messi about to join Inter Miami in MLS, it is the end of a generation.

For nearly two decades the pair have completely dominated football at the top end, winning 12 Ballon d'Or titles between them, a ludicrous number of trophies and beating pretty much every record in football.

Messi might even add a Ballon d'Or title to the collection come October, after helping lead Argentina to the World Cup last December.

Neither man is ready to call time on their careers just yet, with the soon to be Miami star even dazzling in an international game on Thursday.

Of course they aren't the forces they once were and especially now they're in leagues of much lesser quality than before it doesn't really matter what they do it's not like it was.

So we can start looking at their careers with a bit more perspective and inevitably the pair will always be compared, often as the greatest of all time.

A video started going viral on social media that suggested Messi has actually achieved everything on Ronaldo's bucket list better than the Al Nassr star.

First it shows Ronaldo saying to Piers Morgan that he wants to end his career having won more Ballon d'Ors than anyone ever.

The 38-year-old has picked up the Golden Ball five times in his career, one for each of the Champions League titles he's won, but his rival already has seven.

Next he talks about the European Golden Shoe and explains that as an award based on stats rather than opinion and voting it is unquestionable, unlike the Ballon d'Or.

The former Real Madrid star even claims he'd swap Champions League and La Liga titles for it and he needs to as he's only been the continent's top scorer on four occasions, compared to the ex PSG man.

The video takes a bit of a turn when talking about the Copa America, because it's not like the Al Nassr striker could actually win that.

However it then gets back to his dream of winning the World Cup which as we know Messi did last year to basically complete football.
