Cristiano Ronaldo Couldn't Help But Laugh At Manchester United Getting Torn Apart By Brighton

A disaster.

Cristiano Ronaldo couldn't help but laugh after watching Brighton score their fourth goal against Manchester United on Saturday evening.

The Seagulls thrashed United 4-0 on Saturday evening to mathematically end their hopes of getting into the top four.

Moises Caicedo opened the scoring in the first half before Graham Potter's side blew the Red Devils away with three goals in 11 minutes.

Marc Cucurella, Pascal Groß and Leandro Trossard fired past David de Gea and after Trossard's strike, Ronaldo looked to completely lose it.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner appeared to be laughing in disbelief after seeing United's net ripple for a fourth time.

Ronaldo returned to United last summer and is their top scorer this season with 24 goals, but it's been a collective disaster.

Fans noticed his laughter and reacted on social media.

One commented: "Manchester United are so bad, even their best player is laughing at them."

Another said: "Imagine being so bad even Ronaldo can't do anything but laugh. Joke of a team."

A third put: "He doesn't laugh like this, you know? Even Ronaldo knows the team is out there for mission impossible."

While someone tweeted: "Ronaldo having to laugh this off shows how far we've fallen."

United have now lost 11 games this season and it'll be their worst points haul in Premier League history, even if they beat Crystal Palace in their final game two weeks on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag will take over as manager in the summer and he has a massive job on his hands turning United's fortunes around.

Interim boss Ralf Rangnick admitted the display and defeat were poor in a typically honest post-match interview.

When asked if it was a terrible performance, he replied: "Yes it was. From the first to the last minute it was not enough in all important areas.

"We were second best. I can only apologise to our supporters. It was a terrible performance and humiliating defeat."

A number of players are out of contract in the summer, including Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani who featured today.

Nemanja Matic has also confirmed he'll be leaving at the end of this season while Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba are likely to depart.
