A YouTuber has fooled everyone with 'Cristiano Ronaldo's first Al Nassr' goal video, it has 17m views in 24 hours

"People believe anything on the internet these days." A goal Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't even scored yet has amassed 17m views on YouTube.

A YouTuber has incredibly duped millions of viewers by posting a video claiming to feature Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut goal for Al Nassr, despite the Portugal star yet to play for his new club.

Ronaldo, 37, completed his medical in Saudi Arabia earlier this week before he was unveiled in front of a legion of Al Nassr fans at Mrsool Park.

The Manchester United and Real Madrid legend was potentially in line to make his debut for the Saudi Arabian club on Thursday against Al Tae’e.

However, Al Nassr’s Saudi Pro League clash at Mrsool Park was postponed by 24 hours after an electrical fault was caused by heavy rain.

Al Nassr are expected to face Al Tae’e on Friday, but Ronaldo’s hotly anticipated debut could be further delayed due to the English FA’s two-match ban.

Ronaldo was imposed with a two-match suspension by the FA after shocking footage emerged of him knocking a phone out of an Everton fan’s hand last season.

In the meantime, one YouTuber has posted a video claiming to feature highlights from the postponed clash between Al Nassr and Al Tae’e.

And the YouTube video’s title claims Ronaldo picked up an assist and goal in the match, with a staggering 17m watches accumulated at the time of writing.

Ronaldo is featured in the thumbnail hugging former Juventus teammate Manuel Locatelli, with the Old Lady’s kit very similar to the one Al Nassr use at the moment.

“People believe anything on the internet these days,” one fan said.

Someone else posted: “Shows pretty well [the] intelligence of people online.”

While a third Twitter user wrote: “Picture of him playing for Juventus, embracing Locatelli! At least the kits [are] yellow!”

Al Nassr on Thursday confirmed the Al Tae’e match had been called off due to the impact of the weather and they would attempt to reschedule it for Friday.

“Due to heavy rain and weather conditions impacting the stadium’s electricity, we have been officially informed that tonight’s match against Al Tae’e is postponed for 24 hours,” Al Nassr tweeted in a statement.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to fans and wish everyone safe travels.”
