Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a stunning first-half hat trick for Al Nassr against Damac.

On Saturday afternoon, Al Nassr arrived at Damac hoping to regain the top spot in the Saudi Professional League from Al Ittihad.

With Ronaldo in their side, they were always bound to pose a real threat up top.

After just 18 minutes, Ronaldo gave his side the lead from 12 yards after Ibrahim Al Nakhli was penalised for handball inside the penalty area.

Within minutes, Ronaldo doubled his tally and gave his team a 2-0 lead with an expertly taken left-footed drive into the back of the net.

Just before the halftime whistle, the inevitable happened as Ronaldo scored his third goal of the match after finishing off a fine team goal whilst the Damac defence was nonexistent.

Fans were quick to react to Ronaldo’s goals.

One said: “Good to see Ronaldo enjoying his football again.”

Another tweeted: “I swear 50-year-old Ronaldo is better than Weghorst.”

A third fan added: “So nice to see Ronaldo doing what he does best, scoring goals! He is backkk!!”

Someone else wrote: “Come back to Europe King.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “It's a ritual to come back again in beast mode. The way Cristiano Ronaldo is going this season no one will even look around.”

After his hat trick today, Ronaldo has now scored eight goals in the Saudi Professional League already.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner shocked the football world after it was announced in early January that he had signed for Al Nassr.

His move to the Middle East came after his second stint with Manchester United ended bitterly after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.

During the interview, Ronaldo was critical of the club, his former managers and former teammates.

Will Ronaldo be a success in Saudi Arabia? Only time will tell.
