Spanish press are using Chelsea's horrific form to take a dig at Joao Felix

Felix got sent off in his first appearance for the Premier League side and has yet to taste victory since his loan from Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea's form since Joao Felix joined the club has been used to aim a dig at him, especially with Atletico Madrid doing well since he left.

Back in January there was an influx of players to Stamford Bridge, with Todd Boehly seemingly spending his cash in the January transfer window as if he didn't know the window reopens in the summer.

Enzo Fernandez was the most high profile of their transfer sagas, with the club negotiating for 20 hours straight at the end in order to sign him on a British record fee.

It's not exactly been the best start for the World Cup winner, who is yet to taste victory for Graham Potter's side, following Sunday's latest defeat.

The loss to Tottenham Hotspur, which included the VAR farce with Hakim Ziyech, led to calls for Potter to face the sack, such is the situation.

Fernandez isn't the only player yet to be involved with a win though, with Felix, loaned from Atletico until the end of the season, suspended for the win in January against Crystal Palace, their only victory in the past 11 games since the start of the year.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have jumped all over this fact, also pointing out that his parent club are having their best run of the season since his temporary departure.

Felix last played for Diego Simeone's side on January 8th, a loss to Barcelona, and they're undefeated since, including the weekend's draw with Real Madrid, in the Madrid derby, despite the red card for Angel Correa.

The outlet claim he has taken Atletico's 'curse' and passed it onto the Blues, the idea of which isn't helped by the fact he was sent off on debut against Fulham, leading to a three match ban.

They claim that the loss to Spurs on Sunday was his 'worst performance' so far in a Chelsea top, saying the forward gave the ball away a lot.

Felix apparently lost the ball 14 times during the game, more than any player in the 90 minutes, and has only had three shots in his time at Stamford Bridge.

He was expected to go back to the Wanda Metropolitano in the summer, with Simeone linked with leaving, but in his current form the club might not want the former Benfica star.

Potter will be hoping to get more out of the Portugal star, and others, as he looks to save the job he only got back in September, following Thomas Tuchel's sacking.

One report has claimed that the former Brighton manager only has two games to save his job, after losing their previous three games.
